Beard Grooming Kits

All you need to grow a beard is some time and testosterone.

But once you have grown some facial hair, you should consider using a few basic products to care for your beard.

I’ve had a beard for years and have accumulated tons of beard care products. My personal beard kit is more like a beard crate, but if you’re new to the bearded community or just beginning to care for your beard, you may be wondering where to start.

What’s In A Beard Grooming Kit?

It’s important to build a beard kit that fits your individual needs. But while every beard is different, most beard kits will include a few of the same basic items.

Here are a few products included in many beard grooming kits:

You’re not limited to this list. These products can be customized to cater to the unique needs of your facial hair.

Maybe your beard is turning gray, so you want to add some Touch of Gray to your beard kit.

Best Beard Grooming Kits

When it comes to beard grooming kits, there are several options. Of course, you can DIY and build your own beard kit, but you can also purchase a pre-made kit offered by some of the best beard brands.

Here are the top 5 options for beard grooming kits in 2020:

1. The Beard Club Grooming Kit

This grooming kit from The Beard Club includes beard oil, beard cream, body wash, beard shampoo, comb, boar bristle brush, straight razor, and travel bag. This isn’t the only kit offered by this brand. They offer several different options and even have a kit geared towards beard growth.

5. DIY Beard Grooming Kit

With so many different beard products and brands available on the market today, you don’t have to go with a cookie-cutter beard kit.

Maybe you love Honest Amish beard oil but prefer to use beard balm from Beardbrand and a Dollar Store beard brush. If this is you, then by all means, build a grooming kit that consists of only your favorite products.

Beard Oil

Start by selecting the best beard oil with a fragrance and characteristics that match your preferences.

Beard Balm

Do you need beard balm? I would argue yes, especially if you have a long and unruly beard similar to mine.

Mustache Wax

I haven’t always used mustache wax. I thought you only needed mustache wax if you wanted that handlebar look. Actually, mustache wax can be extremely useful, no matter how you style your beard.

Brush / Comb

I only use a comb for my mustache. With a longer beard, it can be pretty painful to pull knots out with a wooden comb. Really a basic brush doesn’t do the job either. I’ve found that the best brush for my beard is a wet brush.
