Beardbrand Beard Balm Review
Beardbrand has been helping guys groom their facial hair for years. The company basically offers everything you need to keep your beard at its best.
Beard balm is a very valuable beard grooming tool, so obviously Beardbrand has got you covered. They actually offer two types of beard balm: Utility Balm & Styling Balm.
Beardbrand Utility Balm
Beardbrand’s Utility Balm is very effective in hydrating and conditioning your beard. It helps to protect your beard by coating the hairs more effectively than beard oil alone.
Utility Balm not only moisturizes and conditions, but it also keeps those stray hairs in line. If you are looking for something with a little more hold, you should consider Styling Balm.
Utility Balm Ingredients:
- Shea Butter
- Mango Seed Butter
- Apricot Kernel Oil
- Lanolin
- Jojoba Seed Oil
- Beeswax
- Cocoa Butter
- Fragrance
Beardbrand Styling Balm
Beardbrand’s Styling Balm is designed specifically for styling your beard.
The Styling Balm offers more hold than Utility Balm but still leaves your beard looking a feeling natural.
Styling Balm Ingredients:
- Water
- Lanolin
- Polyvinylpyrrolidone
- Cetearyl Alcohol
- Ceteareth 25
- Beeswax
- Tribehenin

Beardbrand Beard Balm Fragrances
Beardbrand offers six unique Utility Balm blends.
Tree Ranger
Tree Ranger has a eucalyptus scent that reminds you of the outdoors and will have you smelling like a Forest Ranger.
Spiced Citrus
Spiced Citrus is a combination of vanilla, clove and other spices to create a warm aroma.
Tea Tree
Tea Tree is one of my favorite blends. It has a fresh and light scent with a hint of peppermint.
Old Money
Old Money is for the classic gentlemen. With notes of black pepper, oak, and amber, this is Beardbrand’s most potent scent.
Temple Smoke
Temple Smoke features notes of frankincense and myrrh. It’s an earthy, insense blend.
Four Vices
Based on four of the most popular vices—tobacco, cannabis, coffee, and hops. It’s how my beard naturally smells after a long day.

The Temple Smoke Utility Balm was the first product I have purchased. I am telling everyone about this stuff. I will not continue to buy any other products. I am hooked!
Which Beardbrand Balm is Better: Utility Balm or Styling Balm?
I regularly use Beardbrand Utility Balm and have been very happy with the results. I especially appreciate the large, 3.4 oz container. It’s such a great brand that I also added Beardbrand beard oil to my grooming line-up too.
But deciding which product to choose is really up to you and your preferences.
For me it’s easy. Just take a look at the ingredients for both products. While I’m sure the guys at Beardbrand have made sure that the styling balm is perfectly safe, those chemical names make me uncomfortable. I prefer the products that I put in my beard to be all-natural.
