How To Use A Weber Charcoal Grill
Lift the grills grates and fill the base reservoir with charcoal. The amount will depend on the size of the grill and what you are grilling, generally a couple layers of coals deep.
Light the charcoal with the help of some lighter fluid, unless you have instant match light charcoal. Stir the coals for complete coverage, replace the grill grates, and close the lid.
Use the grill’s vents to adjust heat. Before cooking, you may need to clean the grates of any ash or debris with a steel wire brush.
When finished grilling, close the grill vents to stop providing oxygen to fuel the coal. It should be cool enough to empty within a couple of hours.
Remember, if grilling with charcoal seems too difficult, you can always opt for the simplicity of a Weber portable gas grill.
Weber Charcoal Grill Customer Reviews
Weber charcoal grills receive very high scores when it comes to customer reviews and ratings. See what these customers have to say about their experience with a Weber charcoal grill.
Eric says,
I decided I was ready to switch from a gas grill to a charcoal grill… I have probably cooked more meals on the Weber in 3 weeks than I did in 5 years with the old gas grill… This model is pretty easy to clean and I find it easier than the gas grill it replaced. My wife and I also think the food tastes better. I would definitely buy this again and have recommended it to several friends at this point.
Another customer says this about the Original Kettle,
This BBQ is by far the best I have ever owned… This larger premium model comes with stainless steel cooking grill and a few upgrades vs the smaller models. In my opinion, it is worth it alone for the upgrades, but with the extra cooking space I can cook anything.
One long-time customer says,
I’ve used these for 15 years. I won’t use anything else. You can smoke a brisket Or grill steaks! Nothing will hold temps and last like the kettles.
