No Shave November

As you might expect, I support any occasion to grow a beard, but there is no better time than during No-Shave November.

No-Shave November isn’t just a month to let your hair grow, it’s much more.

What Is No-Shave November?

No-Shave November is a charity event in which participants let their hair grow, without shaving, for the entire month in order to raise cancer awareness.

Unfortunately, many cancer patients lose their hair during the cancer treatment process. By letting hair grow freely, No-Shave November aims to start a conversation and raise awareness for cancer prevention research.

Donate the money you would normally spend on grooming to organizations like St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, Fight Colorectal Cancer, and the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

No-Shave November Rules

The rules for No-Shave November are easy to follow; simply avoid shaving for the entire month of November. Begin the month clean-shaven and let your hair grow wild for 30 days.

If you have any dress-code requirements at school or work, trimming and styling are certainly acceptable. The important thing is that you participate however you can!

How Can I Donate for No Shave November?

For No Shave November 2020, the Organization is partnered with Prevent Cancer Foundation, St. Judes Children’s Hospital, and Fight Colorectal Cancer.

You can visit the non-profit’s website at No-Shave.org/donate to make a donation.

Another way to support the charity is by purchasing No-Shave November gear since all merchandise proceeds are donated to the cause.

How Much Money Has No-Shave November Raised?

To date, the web-based organization has raised over $10 Million in donations for cancer prevention, education, and research.

You can keep track of this year’s total donations on the website’s leaderboard.

Is No-Shave November the Same As Movember?

While No-Shave November and Movember are very similar organizations, they are actually two distinct celebrations of facial hair.

For example, Movember exclusively celebrates the mustache. You can check out my post on Movember for more information.
